Local wines on display in Alvor
The picturesque fishing village of Alvor will host a wine tasting event between Friday and Sunday (October 4-6) which promises to showcase the best wines produced in the municipality of Portimão.
Alvor Wine Tasting, which is returning for its second edition, aims to take advantage of the “sophisticated and laid-back atmosphere” of the village’s old fish market to provide visitors with an opportunity to “try the excellence and refinement of wines produced in the borough”.
The event will take place from 6pm to 11pm and will be free to attend, with wines provided by Villa Alvor, Quinta da Penina and Arvad Algarve, while local restaurant Zé Morgadinho will be serving typical Algarvian dishes.
The municipal council and tourism association of Portimão organise the event alongside the parish council of Alvor.
