PS questions government over ‘possibility of EDP failing to pay its dues’

After YEARS in which PS Socialists did NOTHING to ensure EDP paid its dues over the sale of six hydroelectric dams, today, three dozen Socialist MPs “questioned the government about the risk that €400 million in Stamp Duty and Corporation Tax was at risk of being lost”. After years in which the case made by the Terras de Miranda movement was sidelined, Socialists appear finally to ‘understand’ the situation, and be attempting to blame a government that only arrived a few months ago for it … That said, the Terras de Miranda movement is also blaming the government, suggesting it has had time to fix this ‘lapse’ which shows, in the movement’s opinion, how much governments try to favour concession holders: in this case, a company where  majority shareholders (China Three Gorges Corporation) belong to the Chinese state
