A whole year after the October 7 massacre it appears that āPortuguese-Israeli citizen Idan Shti-viā was killed a year ago, not taken hostage as originally believed. Outgoing Israeli ambassador to Portugal, Dor Shapira, announced earlier today that āIdan Shtivi was murdered on October 7, and his body was taken to Gazaā. Idan will have been one of thousands of Israelis who succeeded in getting Portuguese nationality under the āSephardic Jew amnestyā that subsequently fell under a cloud. Portugalās ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its ādeep dismayā over the news, sending āheartfelt condolencesā to the young manās family.
