Thanks to a cooperation agreement between signed between Oeiras town council and the Chinese Communist Party – through its Dongcheng district secretary – a Portuguese ‘pop-up’ displaying 18 brands from 12 Portuguese companies has opened in Wangfujing, one of Beijing’s busiest shopping streets. The 96-square metre pop-up pavilion will remain open for the next week (until October 18) and is being considered by AICEP (the Portuguese Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade) as a ‘premium location’ for the promotion of Portugal: close to Tiananmen Square, Wangfujing has between 200,000 and 300,000 shoppers passing through it every day, say authorities, cited by Lusa.
