Lisbon inaugurated a new eastern riverside bike path today, linking Parque Tejo-Trancão to Terreiro do Paço, covering 12 kilometers.
The project is part of the city’s goal to create a fully cyclable riverfront by early next year, stretching from Algés to Parque Tejo.
The latest section, from Parque das Nações to Braço de Prata, cost €290,000. The city also introduced two new bike-sharing stations in Marvila, aiming for 193 stations and 2,000 electric bikes by 2025.
