French president Emmanuel Macron is scheduled to make an official visit to Portugal in February next year (between 27 and 28) with the intention of “reinforcing bilateral relations” and signing, with prime minister Luís Montenegro, a Treaty of Friendship between the two countries. This visit was scheduled to take place in 2023, but had to be delayed due to the dissolution of parliament at the end of the year.
