Figo Maduro airport – the space used by the Air Force but essentially attached to Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado passenger terminal, is to lose its military dominion and pass to ANA, becoming part of the ‘concession perimeter’ of the airports authority. This is a form of ‘expanding’ Lisbon airport which is ‘at the end of its life’ in terms of space, and waiting for the construction of the new airport in Alcochete (which has already been announced, but for which very little appears yet to have moved forwards).
