āScientistsā who chose today to protest against precarious employment must be in despair, as the country remains glued to the situation in marginalised neighbourhoods of greater Lisbon, and is unlikely to take much notice of the protest this afternoon in front of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation. The plan is for a gathering to then move on to the FCT, Foundation for Science and Technology, and end in front of parliament. The initiative is being promoted by various organisations, including the National Higher Education Union (Snesup), the National Teachersā Federation (Fenprof), the Archaeology Workersā Union, the Organisation of Scientific Workers, the Association of Scientific Research Fellows and the Association for Combating Job Insecurity.
