Mainland Portugal, Madeira, and the Azores will set their clocks back by one hour tomorrow morning to begin wintertime.
The days are getting shorter, nights are getting longer, and daylight saving time is ending. On the night of October 26 through to October 27, we will have an additional hour to sleep as we set the clocks back an hour.
On Sunday, October 27, at 02:00, residents of mainland Portugal and the Madeira region need to set their clocks back by 60 minutes to read 01:00.
In the Azores, the change will be made at 01h00 on Sunday morning, moving back to 00h00.
The legal time will change to the summer regime on March 30, 2025.
The current time change regime is regulated by a directive (community law) from 2000, which provides that clocks are moved forward and backwards by one hour on the last Sunday in March and the last Sunday in October every year, marking the beginning and end of daylight saving time.
