Two men stabbed close to Sintra train station

Two men were stabbed in the early hours of Sunday morning near a taxi rank at Rio de Mouro railway station, Sintra, outer Lisbon. As with so many stabbings in the greater Lisbon area, the motives appear to be ‘unknown’. One of the men received a wound to the stomach, and was considered lightly injured; the other suffered a punctured lung and was considered seriously injured. According to reports, PSP police have now ‘stepped up policing in the area’.
