Transvestite socialite formally accused of domestic violence against 95-year-old former wife

The long-drawn out saga of José Castelo Branco and his much older ‘heiress’ wife Betty Grafstein has moved to the stage where public prosecutors have formally accused the transvestite socialite of domestic violence, maintaining that physical and verbal aggressions marked the entirety of the couple’s 28-year marriage. José Castelo Branco has given numerous interviews where he refutes these accusations, even suggesting that he has been a victim of manipulation through artificial intelligence. Castelo Branco’s accusation comes on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women: an occasion where a number of leading figures in Portugal have spoken out against the scourge that every year victimises well over two dozen women.
