Graça Freitas, Portugal’s former long-standing director of health – one of the best known ‘official faces’ during the pandemic, and herself a cancer survivor – has been named as the oncology ombudsman at Lisbon’s IPO cancer hospital. Hospital’s director Eva Falcão announced the appointment today, stressing that the hospital’s outpatient service needs a great deal of work and investment.
