From Vilamoura to Lagos, the hotel group has created a selection of festive events to celebrate the season.
The Tivoli Hotels & Resorts are preparing sumptuous feasts to celebrate Christmas and ring in the New Year. The hotel chain’s three units, the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, Tivoli Carvoeiro, and Tivoli Lagos, offer exquisite alternatives for those who want to treat themselves and their families to a special meal this season.
Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve, Pepper’s Steakhouse in Vilamoura offers a festive menu that includes Portuguese dishes such as cod with quail egg and creamy chickpeas and a succulent leg of lamb with spinach, São Jorge cheese, and sweet potato mille-feuille. For dessert, the highlight is the Christmas Ball by Glee, made with biscuits, pumpkin, and gingerbread. Dinner is complemented by live music at The Argo Cocktail Bar, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere to celebrate Christmas in style (€150 per person).
In Carvoeiro, at the MED restaurant, a Christmas Eve buffet celebrates the traditional flavours of the season. Among the highlights are stuffed turkey, cod strudel and veal medallions with oysters. To finish, typical desserts complete the celebration (€60 per person). Next door, The One restaurant proposes a delicious tasting menu, with dishes such as the foie gras praline accompanied by Madeira gelatine and spices, Portuguese cod confit, and lamb with winter vegetables and truffle mashed potatoes (€90 per person plus wine pairing option for €50).
In Lagos, the Lacóbriga restaurant offers a delicious Christmas Eve buffet full of seasonal dishes, including a Monchique-style roast and cod with herb crust (€60 per person).
Christmas Day
If you’re looking for a cosy and festive Christmas brunch option, the Voyage restaurant in Vilamoura will host a Christmas buffet (€80 per person), perfect for gathering the family. The MED in Carvoeiro will also offer a delicious brunch that combines tradition and modernity (€50 per person), and, in Lagos, the Lacóbriga will prepare a delicious Christmas Day festive buffet full of traditional seasonal dishes, including stuffed crab and roast turkey with chestnuts and mushrooms (€60 per person).
New Year’s Eve
For those who can only do with the cool-chic atmosphere of a beachfront club on New Year’s Eve, Purobeach opens its doors for a luxurious night with an exclusive menu accompanied by live music and entertainment. Highlights include the scarlet prawn with pumpkin gnocchi and prawn bisque and the beef with parsnip puree, asparagus, and pistachio crumble. Tickets include an open bar from 22h30, and a delicious supper will be served to welcome the New Year (€295 per person with wine pairing).
For a more romantic setting, Pepper’s Steakhouse guarantees an exquisite dinner, where the scarlet prawn, served with lime foam, elderflower and caviar and the Wagyu, with parsnips, celery, and green asparagus, stand out. An evening of exceptional flavours, accompanied by selected wines, to celebrate the arrival of the new year with style and flavour (€170 per person with wine pairing).
The Tivoli Marina Vilamoura is also hosting an outstanding New Year’s Eve gala for this special night. Portuguese pop star Tony Carreira will perform an exclusive concert at the Algarve Congress Centre. In addition to the concert, a festive buffet promises an unforgettable gastronomic experience (€420 per person).
In Carvoeiro, at The One restaurant, a New Year’s Eve five-course menu paired with wines offers an intimate experience to the sound of a live piano and a direct view of the fireworks show. The evening includes access to the after-midnight supper party, ideal for an adults-only celebration. Dishes such as the prawn carpaccio with Oscietra royal caviar and citrus fruits from the Algarve, oxtail consommé with prawn gyoza, and matured veal loin with potato terrine and black truffle stand out (€220 per person with wine pairing).
There will also be a New Year’s Eve Gala in the hotel’s Conference Centre, with a 5-course menu, an open bar, live music, a DJ, and fireworks. Dinner starts with prawn carpaccio with Oscietra royal caviar and citrus fruits from the Algarve, followed by turbot with cauliflower textures and a delicious white veal Tornedó with fondant potatoes and black truffle. The night ends with Tiramisu with Amaretto ice cream, coffee, and hazelnut crumble (€240 per person).
In Lagos, the Tivoli invites guests to an unforgettable New Year’s Eve night with a Casino Night theme and a carefully designed menu. After midnight, guests can also indulge in a New Year’s Eve supper buffet, available from 01h00, with a selection of delicacies to ensure the celebration continues until dawn (€155 per person).
New Year’s Day
On January 1, the three Tivoli hotels offer brunch options to help replenish energy levels and ensure an excellent start to the year. In Vilamoura, brunch is enjoyed to the sound of the sea at Purobeach (€75 per person). In Carvoeiro, a delicious spread of fresh dishes will be prepared to end the festivities at the MED (€50 per person), and at the Tivoli Lagos, a New Year’s Day Brunch will also be available, welcoming 2025 with plenty of flavour (€30 per person).
