Gala will feature an artistic roller skating rendition of The Lion King
The Roller Lagos Clube de Patinagem (RLCP) is gearing up for its annual Christmas Gala, an event that has grown from a modest gathering for athletes’ families into a full-fledged spectacle for the local community.
This year, the club will bring presenting an artistic roller skating rendition of Disney’s The Lion King to life on Saturday and Sunday (December 7-8) at 6pm at the Lagos sports complex.
Following last year’s success with a Disney-themed performance of Encanto, this year’s production aims to follow in its footsteps. Under the guidance of coach Rita Silva, the gala will showcase the technical and artistic evolution of the young athletes.
Tickets for the gala are priced at €5, with all proceeds going towards supporting the artistic skating team. The funds will help athletes participate in regional, district, and national competitions in the coming season, as well as provide new club costumes and skates.
Founded on September 15, 1997, Roller Lagos Clube de Patinagem is a cornerstone of Lagos’ skating scene, offering three disciplines: speed skating, roller hockey, and artistic skating.
