Lisbon hopes to have new tuk-tuk rules in place before summer

The new municipal regulation for tuk tuks in Lisbon should be in force by next summer, the deputy mayor, Filipe Anacoreta Correia, said today. He admitted that he had hoped to be ready for a change by Easter. Tuk tuks have essentially ‘flooded’ Lisbon, causing a degree of mayhem and frustration. New regulations are focused on at least halving the number of these ‘tourist attractions’, if not reducing them by more than half ‘to start with’, said the deputy mayor.
