The Portuguese government will ask infrastructure authority Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) to create a team to study a high-speed rail link between Faro and Seville, announced a representative of the Minister of Infrastructure, Miguel Pinto Luz, this week in Faro.
At a cross-border meeting, leaders from Faro, Huelva, and Seville signed a manifesto urging the European Union and the governments of Portugal and Spain to prioritise the Faro-Huelva-Seville connection and mobilise European funds for feasibility studies.
