One cyclist died and another was left in a serious condition after being hit by a light vehicle on EN (national road) 1 in Oliveira de Azeméis, in the Aveiro district, today. A source from the Oliveira de Azeméis Volunteer Fire Brigade told Lusa that the alert was given at 09:00. Traffic on the road was conditioned until well past 10:00. The circumstances of this latest tragedy claiming the life of a cyclist have not yet been explained.
