Former minister found dead on Matosinhos golf course

The body of former minister of education António Couto dos Santos was found “floating in the golf course lake” at Citygolf in Matosinhos this morning. The alarm was raised at 11.30am by other golfers. The cause of death is still unknown. According to a source who spoke to Expresso, the former politician with responsibility for education between 1992-1993 had gone to the course to play golf, “but his club was not found”, says the paper. Couto dos Santos was 75 years old.
