Álvaro Bila will be running for mayor of Portimão as the candidate of the Socialist Party (PS) in the upcoming 2025 local elections.
Currently serving as mayor after taking over for Isilda Gomes, who took up her new position as a European MP in July 2024, Bila says he will run a campaign focused on “dialogue” with his party and local citizens.
