Portuguese government expresses “heartfelt condolences” over Swedish mass-shooting

Portugal’s government has expressed its “heartfelt condolences” to the families of the victims of the shooting at an adult education centre in Örebro, 200 kilometres west of Stockholm, yesterday, which left at least 10 people dead. “The Portuguese government utterly condemns the atrocious attack at a school in Örebro,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a post on the social network X. “It sends its heartfelt condolences to the victims, the people and the Swedish authorities.” The school, called Campus Risbergska, is aimed at students over the age of 20 and teaches primary and secondary education courses, as well as Swedish language classes for immigrants, vocational training and programmes for people with intellectual disabilities, according to its online platform. The incident is not considered to be terror-related.
