Outspoken magistrate Rui Fonseca e Castro, temporarily suspended following his behaviour during the pandemic, is back in the headlines, for allegedly ‘kidnapping’ his youngest child. The boy, aged 10, is understood to want to return to Brazil and his mother, but appears to be being held against the terms of the mother’s custody agreement. The story has been featured on television and in the newspapers – thus it seems likely that some kind of resolution will be found shortly.
