Sevenair to resume Portimão-Bragança air link on February 19

Portimão-Bragança air link had been suspended since September 2024

After being suspended for months, the Portimão-Bragança air link will resume operations on Wednesday, February 19.

“We will fly together again and link Portugal from north to south. Starting next February 19, we will resume the regional air link between Bragança, Vila Real, Viseu, Cascais and Portimão,” the Sevenair Group announced on a social media post.

The air link, often described as a lifeline for Portugal’s interior regions, was suspended on September 30, 2024 due to the non-payment of the service by the State, which has amassed a total debt of €3.8 million.

In recent months, the government has paid approximately half of the outstanding debt to Sevenair.

The current four-year concession was awarded after a public tender concluded in late 2024, with Sevenair as the sole bidder.

More information about flight schedules and ticket prices can be found on the Sevenair website.
