The suspect, who had been on the run for four years, was one of the top members of a criminal organisation in Wales wanted for drug dealing.
Calvin Parris, one of the most wanted men in the United Kingdom, who was arrested in the Algarve in October last year, was sentenced last Friday to 12 years in prison.
Calvin, 35, from Cardiff, was on the National Crime Agency’s Most Wanted list. He had disappeared in November 2020. He was the last member of an organised crime group to be arrested.
According to Sky News, Judge Jeremy Jenkins said that the group had tried to introduce drugs into Wales during the Covid-19 lockdown.
According to the judge, he pleaded guilty in December, which reduced his sentence from 18 to 12 years.
