Sixteen regional producers will present their vintages on March 8 alongside an array of national producers.
The second edition of the Enóphilo Wine Fest Vilamoura takes place tomorrow, March 8, between 15h00 and 20h00, in the Hotel D. Pedro Vilamoura Conference Centre. This year, 16 regional wine producers, supported by the Algarve Wine Commission (CVA), will participate, nearly doubling last year’s participation.
Sara Silva, president of the CVA, stated, “It is very important that events like the Enóphilo Wine Fest choose to invest in the region and Algarve wines. These fairs are essential for our producers to showcase their wines to a wider audience”.
She also notes that the Algarve produces wines of “exceptional quality” and that the event will provide another opportunity to showcase the region’s wines to both the general public and industry professionals.
The Algarve’s wine sector is expanding, with 60 producers currently active, 40% of whom are foreign. These producers create certified wines and have achieved a total volume of approximately 2 million litres by 2024. According to the President of the CVA, this not only illustrates the dynamism of the region but also emphasises the Algarve’s potential as a showcase for Portuguese wines in international markets.
Among the wine producers present, there will be 42 wine brands available for the public to taste.
Among them are: Quinta do Val Moreira, Quinta do Paral, Joaquim Arnaud, Mont’Alegre, Quinta dos Abibes, Titan of Wines, Rosa da Mata, Quinta da Ramalhosa, Casal das Aires, Somnium, Vinilourenço, Quinta da Rabiana, Vinhos Desviso, Duplo PR, Regateiro, Ervideira, Primado, Quinta de Paços, Hugo Mendes, XXVI Talhas, Carlos Raposo, Villa Oeiras, Infinitude, Quinta do Tamariz, Ode Winery and Aleixo Wines.
