Chefs on Fire comes to Algarve for first time

Chefs on Fire Vilamoura will see top chefs cook dishes using fire exclusively

The Algarve resort town of Vilamoura is set to host Chefs on Fire, Europe’s largest festival of fire, gastronomy, and music, between June 20 and 22.

Marking its first edition in the Algarve, the event will feature 12 top national chefs, who will ignite a firepit to create “exclusive and original dishes”. Renowned Algarve chefs José Lopes (Bonbon), Louis Anjos (Al Sud), and Noélia Jerónimo (Noélia) are among the culinary stars headlining this edition.

This special edition, Chefs on Fire Vilamoura, will embrace a sunset format, blending fire-cooked delicacies with live music in a relaxed seaside setting. The event will also pay tribute to the Algarve’s rich culinary heritage, featuring “dishes made exclusively with fire while respecting local ingredients and traditions.

“The Algarve stands out for its renowned gastronomy and freshness of its fish, bringing the true taste of the Atlantic to the table. That’s why we have always wanted to bring Chefs on Fire to the Algarve. Vilamoura is the perfect place for our debut in the south of the country, with its stunning beaches, award-winning marina, and vibrant lifestyle. Moreover, its prime location and mild climate year-round make the region a perfect meeting point for travellers from all over the world,” says Gonçalo Castel-Branco, organiser of Chefs on Fire.

Tickets cost €60 per person for each evening and include four tasting portions (meat, fish, vegetarian and dessert) and access to a live concert. A special ticket and menu for vegetarians will also be available.
