Fundraising event in Praia da Luz supports Cadela Carlota animal shelter
Bar Habana, a popular spot in Luz, has always been at the heart of the community. Following the success of last December’s Christmas event, both the volunteers from Cadela Carlota (CC) and Bar Habana knew something special had happened. Inspired by that magic, they decided to bring it back around Easter.
Last year’s event was a heartwarming success, bringing people together for a great cause. Over €500 was collected for CC’s biggest project yet – a new cat shelter, an initiative that continues to need funding. Bringing the shelter dogs and volunteers to the community provided a chance to answer many questions from the public.
These events not only raise funds but awareness of our fostering, adoption and vital work. One volunteer summed up the event perfectly: “Let’s do this again! You can’t beat petting puppies at a bar while raising much-needed funds for our new cat shelter.”
