Gusto by Heinz Beck will host ‘Six-Hand Charity Dinner’
Conrad Algarve resort will host a special charitable event at Gusto by Heinz Beck on Tuesday, May 6. The ‘Six-Hand Charity Dinner’, a collaboration between three acclaimed chefs – Marlene Vieira, Heinz Beck, and resident chef Stefano Bulla – will present an exclusive six-course tasting menu in support of culinary education in the Algarve.
This event marks the second anniversary of the Conrad Algarve Social Corporate Committee, an initiative committed to fostering community development in the region. The dinner will serve not only as a top gastronomic event – featuring the first Portuguese woman to receive a Michelin star in 30 years, Marlene Vieira, and Michelin-starred German chef Heinz Beck – but also as a platform to support the development of new culinary talents in the Algarve.
A highlight of the initiative includes the involvement of five culinary students from Escola de Almancil, who will participate directly in the evening’s preparations. Following a day of immersive training activities, the students will work alongside the chefs in the kitchen, gaining valuable experience in a Michelin-starred environment.
Festivities will begin at 7pm with a signature canapé and cocktail reception at the Gusto Bar, followed at 8pm by the start of the six-course dinner, which will feature “premium champagne pairings by Laurent-Perrier” and “tea infusions by Infusões com História”.
Price per guest is €240. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to Escola de Almancil to enhance their Educational Kitchen conditions, supporting the next generation of culinary talent, says the resort.
