Luís Bandarra, Miguel Costa and Jorge Bita are all wine connoisseurs, having worked as sommeliers in various top class establishments. Jorge is also known as being ‘Portugal’s Sommelier of the Year’.
The three friends and colleagues created MisterWine in 2004 and have fast become well known within the hotel, restaurant and distributing industries.
Supplying many top class hotels, restaurants and shops throughout the country, MisterWine counts El Corte Ingles, Vila Joya, Apolónia, Intermarché and Monta da Quinta, as well as many Quinta do Lago restaurants, among its clients.
Expansion
Promoting and distributing wines from all over the country including from producers such as Companhia das Quintas, VDS, Quinta Nova and DFJ, MisterWine is also proud to import Champagne de Sousa – a champagne from France, the producer of which is a Portuguese man married to a French woman. The company also boasts wines from Fontanafredda from Italy, Chablis and Sancerre from France and Hardy’s from Australia. For the true wine connoisseur, they stock the rare Spanish wine Pingus which is available for 690 euros per bottle!
Luís, Miguel and Jorge plan to expand MisterWine in the future and they would also like to start producing their own wines in the Algarve.
