While the reduction in the A22 toll charges is to be welcomed, it will be interesting to see if tourists will benefit.
Tourists generally make a single trip on the A22 on arrival in the Algarve and another back to the airport at the end of their stay, for which they pay €20 to the hire car company at Faro airport.
Will it, in fact, be just the hire car companies that benefit from the reduction?
