Abacoz’s story starts after Hans and Ineke Muller sold their pharmaceutical wholesale business in Spain and came to live in Portugal. After a few years they got bored and found themselves too young not to work anymore!
Having friends renting an apartment at Lagos’ Marina Village, and since they really liked it, they decided to invest there. They established contact with the selling party – a bank – and after a few meetings, proposed to sell the remaining 84 apartments within a year, should they been given exclusivity. The bank agreed and Hans and Ineke worked out a marketing strategy. Obliged by the bank to start a well-positioned office, they opened one at Lagos’ marina. Ineke toke care of marketing and administration, they hired one more sales person, and sold the remaining apartments within 15 months.
Today, a team of ten international enthusiastic staff members works at Abacoz, and in April 2018 they opened their new, more spacious, office at the marina, so they could also offer their clients insurances, rentals and property management.
Knowing from experience that buying or selling a property in a foreign country can be stressful and complicated, especially with the language barrier, they simplify the process by speaking the client’s language and working with the best lawyers.
