“Piano with four hands” by Jónína Erna Arnardottir (Iceland) and Morten Fagerli (Norway)
Amigos de Música have announced their March concerts featuring, for the first time, Icelandic/Norwegian piano duo Isnord.
The “piano with four hands” concerts take place on Tuesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 13.
The acclaimed piano duo Isnord has given close to 100 concerts in 10 European countries and North America since 2012. The duo takes a special interest in Nordic music and musical culture, and several Icelandic and Norwegian composers have written pieces especially for them.
Icelandic pianist Jónína Erna Arnardottir studied at Borgarfjörður Music School, the Reykjavík School of Music, and the Grieg Academy with Jiri Hlinka.
Morten Fagerli hails from Norway and has studied at the Barratt Due Music Institute in Oslo, and the Grieg Academy with Jiri Hlinka.
Concerts will take place in the Auditorium of Os Agostos country estate, near Santa Bárbara de Nexe. Doors will open at 6pm and the concert will begin at 7pm.
Wine, fruit juices and canapés will be available for self-service from 6.15pm, before the concert and in the interval. For programme details, please see www.amigosdemusica.org
