Air Force studies heliports for new medical emergency plan

Portugal’s Air Force has already begun gathering information on the more than 70 heliports and aerodromes throughout the country that could serve as a basis for the plan that the government is drawing up for air intervention in pre-hospital emergencies. SIC Notícias says it has understood that the new Black Hawk aircraft, purchased with EU funds for firefighting, could be an option to use instead of the renewal of an unpopular contract with Spanish firm Avincis Aviation Portugal.
