A 59-year-old Spanish man who had a heart attack aboard the ‘Brens’ cargo ship was rescued and taken to Faro Hospital by a Portuguese airforce helicopter in the early hours of Monday morning (May 16). The ship was travelling 45 nautical miles south of Sagres when maritime authorities received the distress call. The man was reported to be “in a stable condition” when he arrived at the hospital.
