Six Algarve towns have been cited among the Portuguese top-10 ‘most searched-for destinations’ in 2014 by travel website Trivago.
Albufeira made the top three, placed behind Lisbon and ahead of Porto, and was followed by Funchal, Portimão, Lagos, Vilamoura, Monte Gordo, Tavira and Coimbra.
Trivago says Albufeira was the most searched-for Portuguese destination between July and August.
