New dog park will be inaugurated next weekend in Albufeira
Albufeira is inviting its local community to the opening of a new dog park next Saturday (July 20) at 4pm, at Parque Verde da Alfarrobeira (Alfarrobeira Green Park), near the local bus station.
“Bring your four-legged friend along and celebrate the opening of this new space with us,” says a joint statement by the municipal council of Albufeira and parish council of Albufeira and Olhos de Água.
The entertainment programme features live music by Ana Reis and Mário Inácio, workshops with dog trainer Hugo Oliveira, and a special lecture by Filipa Neto Fernandes. There are “special gifts” for all dogs visiting the park on this day.
There will also be activities for children, such as bouncy castles and trampolines, a workshop on recycling and a lesson on how to build an insect hotel.
The event will run until 9pm.
