Alcoutim’s Ermida de Nossa Senhora da Conceição church has been given the status of monument of public interest.
According to the office of the Secretary of State of Culture, the 16th century church has received the honour for its “symbolic and religious” importance, as well as its architecture.
It is also considered to be “one of the principle religious buildings of the municipality”.
