With firefighting season approaching, the Alerta Charity Shop in Silves is sponsoring a fun event on Friday, April 25 to support the Volunteer Bombeiros of the Algarve and lower Alentejo.
Alerta, an association set up to raise the alarm over social media about Algarve and lower Alentejo wildfires and supply firefighters with much-needed equipment and supplies, endeavours to give back to those who risk their lives for us.
“We have a lifetime collection of Cliff Richard memorabilia for sale”, says Alerta administrator Debbie Burton. “Everything you can think of, such as videos, DVDs, mugs, T shirts, trinkets and souvenirs, some signed by Sir Cliff (a famous singer and resident of the Algarve)”.
“We are also offering £1.500 worth of Quality Character Christmas Cards, ‘Mum, Dad, Auntie, Brother, etc.’ and much more,” Burton adds, “Come buy your Christmas cards for your nearest and dearest now. Send the cards back home with your summer visitors and save on postage”.
The Alerta shop has many other items to browse as well.
The event will take place from 10am to 2pm at the Alerta Charity Shop, located at Lote 6 on Rua da Cruz de Portugal in Silves.
