Two hotels, one golf course and one successful businessman from the Algarve have brought home awards from the 2019 Publituris Portugal Travel Awards held on Tuesday (September 17) in Cascais.
Pine Cliffs Resort in Albufeira was named ‘Best Hotel Resort’, Dom José Beach Hotel in Quarteira was singled out as the ‘Best Three-Star Hotel’ and Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course was awarded the title of ‘Best Golf Course’.
Receiving the ‘Belmiro Santos Career Award’ was Pedro Roberto Lavia, founder and president of the Algarve’s Zoomarine theme park. While he was born in Buenos Aires in Argentina, Lavia has become one of the region’s most renowned businessmen after opening Zoomarine in Guia, Albufeira in 1988.
