Algarve has two of Portugal’s most expensive streets to buy houses

Property website Idealista has once again released a list of Portugal’s 10 most expensive streets to buy houses and two of them are in the Algarve – one in Quarteira and the other in Almancil.

Like last year, the ranking is led by Lisbon’s traditional Rua do Salitre, located in the heart of the Portuguese capital, where the average price of a house is €2.820 million.

Setúbal’s Urbanização Soltroia and Lisbon’s Rua Fernão Mendes Pinto in Belém follow in second and third place, with houses costing an average of €1.926 million and €1.912 million.

Placed fourth is Cascais’ Rua Dom Afonso Henriques (€1.839 million) followed by Loteamento Fonte Santa in Quarteira (€1.589 million), Rua Gazeta d’Oeiras in Oeiras (€1.588 million) and Avenida Marechal Gomes da Costa in Porto (€1.520 million).

Closing the list are Lisbon’s Avenida 24 de Julho (€1.518 million), Almancil’s Urbanização Varandas do Lago (€1.460 million) and Lisbon’s Avenida da República (€1.444 million).

Idealista explains that to avoid “distorting facts”, it only analysed the average cost of houses on streets with at least 10 ads.
