The association helps promote musical education among young people
Algarve History Association brings its concert season to a close on Sunday, June 30, with the traditional end-of-year Student Concert.
This concert is the AHA’s eighth this season, as well as being coincidentally the eighth annual summer concert given by students from the Conservatório.
“We were also fortunate in April to enjoy a chamber music concert given by students supported by members of Orquestra do Sul,” said Peter Booker, co-founder of AHA.
This summer, four pianist students ranging in age from 12 to 17 will perform works by Bach, Haydn, Beethoven, Chopin, Grieg and Rachmaninov.
“Followers of our concert series will be aware that it is the objective of the Algarve History Association to offer support to the Conservatório in promoting the musical education of young people.”
The concert at Quintinha da Música, near Tavira, will begin at 5pm.
