Algarve shook by earthquake measuring 3.8

An earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale was felt throughout most of the Algarve yesterday (August 4) at 7.03pm.

Its epicentre was located around 70kms southwest of Albufeira, according to the Portuguese sea and atmosphere institute (IPMA).

Many people from across the Algarve reported having felt the earthquake. No damage has been reported.
