Albufeira is hosting the Algarve Tech Hub 2024 event between October 23 and 25 at the Hotel Alísios and in a tent on Praia do Inatel.

The event, organised by Algarve STP, Algarve Evolution and the University of Algarve (UAlg) in partnership with Albufeira City Council, aims to strengthen the region’s position as a technological hub.

Over three days, the event will bring together technology industry leaders and experts in digital innovation, such as Ricardo Lima from Websummit, one of the event’s speakers and a member of the StartUp Showcase jury.

The Algarve Tech Hub Summit will also feature Sandro Mendonça, president of the European Patent Office, and Ioannis Sagias, deputy of the European Commission.

The programme will include conferences, networking events and workshops.

One of the highlights will be the workshop «The Art of Bouncing Back: Lessons from Failure,» organised by Anshul Punhani. This workshop will address the value of failure for growth.

The StartUp Showcase will allow aspiring entrepreneurs to present their ideas to experienced professionals and receive valuable feedback.

This summit reinforces the Algarve’s role as an emerging hub of technological innovation in Europe, attracting talent, companies and investors.

The event is free but requires prior registration on the official website.

The Algarve Tech Hub Summit is only possible thanks to the support of sponsors such as World Talents, Flow Productions and Grupo Rolear, who recognise the importance of events that promote digital advancement and connection between professionals.
