Algarve’s 2025 racing calendar revealed

Motorsport fans will be able to quench their need for speed in the Algarve in 2025

The Algarve International Circuit (Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, or AIA) is revving up for an action-packed 2025 calendar.

With over 20 events already lined up, the motorsport venue in Portimão is promising adrenaline-filled excitement on both two and four wheels.

The racetrack will host competitions across its main track and the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve, its go-kart circuit, with a packed calendar which will feature at least one competition per month and is yet to be closed.

The highlight-filled schedule kicks off in March with the World Superbike Championship (March 28-30) and culminates with the return of the MotoGP World Championship in November (November 7-9).

April will be particularly eventful, AIA says in a statement to the press, with five races divided between the karting and main tracks, headlined by the GT Open between April 24 and 27.

Other highlights include the European Le Mans Series (October 16-18) and the Algarve Classic Festival (October 23-26).

According to AIA, the event-filled calendar shows the “interest that promoters, racers and team continue to show in the Algarve circuit, which is growing as an asset to the regional economy, especially during the tourism low season.”
