Police in Faro have arrested a 53-year-old man on suspicion of carrying out three arson attacks in the final fortnight of June that endangered local residents’ homes, in a zone of Castro Marim. The individual concerned had been identified by locals as a potential suspect in view of his suspicious behaviour and proximity to the fires.
