New centre offers support for people with Alzheimer’s and dementia and their families
Alzheimer Portugal opened a new centre in Portimão on April 30 with help from the local council, which is covering the €9,600 yearly rent.
The new space, located in the São Francisco urbanisation near the Portimão museum, offers more support for people with dementia and their families, including counselling, group activities, and memory workshops.
One highlight is Café Memória, a monthly meet-up that brings people together to share stories and support.
