The young musician returns to Portugal for two concerts
The Amigos de Música will host young Italian pianist Leonardo Pierdomenico for two concerts on April 9 and 11. This is the second time the musician will come to Portugal to play for the ‘Amigos’.
On Tuesday, April 9, Leonardo Pierdomenico proposes a ‘Homage to Italy’ with works by Scarlatti, Clementi, Respighi, Beethoven and Chopin, while on Thursday, April 11, he presents ‘Invitation to Dance’ with works by L. van Beethoven and Frédéric Chopin. Early on, Leonardo Pierdomenico won the first prize at the 2011 Premio Venezia held in La Fenice Opera House and was a semi-finalist at the 2016 “Queen Elisabeth” International Piano Competition in Brussels. Winner of the “Raymond E. Buck” Award at the 2017 Van Cliburn International Competition in Fort Worth, Texas, Leonardo has since performed with many prominent orchestras and solo recitals have brought him to major venues worldwide.
He is often a guest of the Italian national radio Rai Radio3 and his recordings and live performances have been broadcast also by Medici.tv, RTBF (Belgium) and Radio France.

All concerts will take place in the Auditorium of Os Agostos, near Santa Bárbara de Nexe. Doors will open at 6pm and the concert will begin at 7pm. Wine, fruit juices and canapés will be available for self-service before the concert.
