EasyPark has arrived in Portimão
Portimão has joined the EasyPark network, allowing drivers to use the app to pay for their parking in the town.
In a nutshell, the app allows drivers to “manage their own parking” experience. It is already used in over 4,000 cities in 20 countries and can be downloaded from the Google Play (Android) or Apple Store (iOS).
The app is also offering Portimão residents a special deal: 60 minutes of free parking per day.
In other words, the one hour of free parking is applied only to “vehicles owned, leased, or acquired with reserved ownership by residents whose address on the ownership title coincides with the resident’s tax residence.” Resident status is granted for a maximum period of one year, EasyPark explains in a statement.
“The allocated minutes, if not used, expire at the end of each day and are not cumulative,” the company clarifies.
In order to benefit from this deal, residents must use the iParque Mobile app, where they should register the license plates of their vehicles and register at Portipark, located at Rua José António Marques, no.17, in Portimão, or through the online form, attaching copies of their tax residency and vehicle registration certificates.
