Aqua Portimão announces three new food court openings

Popular hamburger outlet H3, Carte D’Or ice-cream parlour, and Las Muns empanada eatery are setting up shop this summer.

Aqua Portimão has announced the opening of three new restaurants in its food court. Soon, the popular H3 hamburgers, Carte D’Or ice creams, and Las Muns empanadas will be available in the Portimão Shopping Centre’s new Food Court.

Other brands such as Baja Fresh Mexican Grill, Delta Espresso, Goola Açai, and Seoul K BBQ also recently joined the Food Court’s offerings, as well as Starbucks, which will open its new store on the first floor of the shopping centre.

Aqua Portimão states that “the food court, known for its unique architecture and design, now comprises 35 establishments”. The project stands out for its emphasis on sustainability, allowing the new Food Court to decrease energy usage by 25% using solar panels, natural air circulation, and sun shading. “These features not only enhance energy efficiency but also ensure a comfortable experience for visitors”, says the shopping centre’s management.

João Velhinho, director of the Aqua Portimão Shopping Centre, points out that the benefits of a project like the Aqua Portimão Food Court are clear and acknowledged by major brands. “Brands are showing more interest in us thanks to a concept that merges sustainability with a prime location in a city like Portimão and the Algarve. Additionally, they are drawn to the strong collective offerings that undoubtedly have the potential to attract more visitors”, he says.

Born from the group’s aspiration to transform this area into a fresh culinary hub, the new Food Court was crafted by the architectural firm Broadway Malyan to cater to a broad audience, with different areas for families and entertainment for children.

Sould Park Game also opens at Aqua Portimão.

Aqua Portimão has also announced the opening of entertainment areas in the shopping centre by introducing the Sould Park brand. This brand offers a mix of a children’s playground, an amusement park, and gaming. The 300 m2 recreational space perfectly complements the new Food Hall coming this summer.
