The discovery of archaeological remains on Avenida Marechal Gomes da Costa, in Porto, will delay the work on the new metrobus line. In a letter sent to residents today, Porto Metro, the company responsible for the work, explained that a set of (ancient) drains, located “precisely under the ‘metrobus’ track” will require deeper exploratory drilling. These surveys will take at least three weeks, thus traffic constraints will be the order of the day in the meantime.
