The government of Argentina is offering a 5 million peso reward for information on the whereabouts of escaped convict Rodolfo Lohrmann, one of the four ‘extremely dangerous’ men who remain on the run after the daylight jailbreak from Alcoentre’s high-security jail last month. As reports explain, Lohrmann is considered one of Argentina’s most wanted criminals. The government has been exasperated by this latest ‘evasion from justice’ (it had been hoping to see Lohrmann extradited eventually). The trouble with this reward is that it translates into €5,000, which may not be ‘enough’ to persuade anyone in the criminal fraternity to come forwards.
